The CLOCKWORK DONKEY THEATRE COMPANY is the dismembered arm of Black Country Horror and brings multi media scare experiences of original as well as classic horror to the stage.

The Black Country Horror concept was created by actor/director Alan Birch in 2020.

Alan has been treading the boards for more years than he cares to remember and is probably best known for his portrayal of Inspector Drake, not only on stage but also in two full length feature films.

The first horror film festival took place in February of that year and screened the best 15 shorts sent in by UK based film makers. A month later the country went in to lockdown. Undeterred, an online film festival was set up and invited people to shoot a two minute horror film on their phones, within the government guidelines of course!

The following years have seen the festival grow and now films are sent in from all over the world.

Alongside this THE CLOCKWORK DONKEY THEATRE was set up and enjoys sell out performances touring small theatres around the country.
